When objects are born of play, they always have something extra. A freshness, a spontaneity, that little something. By playing with a piece of paper, folding it according to the principles of origami, Mario Ferrarini has created a stool of extreme originality and versatility, which elegantly extends the Lapalma collection. KAMI, which means "sheet of paper" in Japanese, is a form of pure seduction that combines fantasy and functionality, softness, strength and comfort. The raw material is plywood, which delicately embraces the lines of the design and its three-dimensional realization. The opening in the center, which during the molding phase allows the seat and legs to be folded and counter-folded, becomes a comfortable grip and underlines the welcoming profile of the "cradle". Easily stackable, KAMI follows us everywhere, like a notebook in which we record daily moments of relaxation and creativity.
